Fife Gymnastics Club is the competitive arm of Fife Gymnastics Network.

We are are a non-profit making Club.

The day to day running is conducted by the management committee consisting of volunteer members – the majority of whom are parents of current gymnasts. The Club is a member of Fife Gymnastics Network. The Network is made up of member clubs from across Fife, these include Kirkcaldy, Leven, Cupar and Spartan Boys. Talented gymnasts from these clubs are invited for a trial and to train at our specialised facility.

The Network is also run by a management committee and take responsibility for the payment of our gym hire, coaching costs etc. All gymnasts’ training fees are paid direct to The Network. The Club have representatives who are also on the The Network Committee – this ensures communication flows.

As such, The Club is a subsidiary of The Network; and as a club we do not have a regular income. Fundraising is ongoing, and this allows us some flexibility to arrange extra training away days, buy extra equipment, guest coaches, gymnasts’ gifts etc.

Gymnasts’ groups and training times are tailored according to their age, experience and individual needs and coaches will be pleased to discuss the training programme and your child’s needs with you.

Training times and fees are reviewed annually or as training hours are increased/decreased by your child’s coach.

The Club is an affiliated member of Scottish Gymnastics, and as such all coaches must be members and have adequate insurance in place, likewise, it is compulsory that all gymnasts are members of Scottish Gymnastics, which also provides necessary insurance. The annual membership cost is set by Scottish Gymnastics for each participating gymnast, depending on their competition level - renewed annually in September.

We have an open door policy, however it is preferable that parents do not stay and watch the training sessions, as experience has shown, this is very distracting for the gymnasts.

We encourage communication with the coach/parents, if possible by appointment at the beginning of the sessions (during warm-up). We hold open afternoons and friendly competitions, where you can bring along family and friends to spectate.

The Club has adopted the Scottish Gymnastics policies for Child Protection, Equity and Codes of Conduct and all officials, coaches, members and parents must adhere to these policies, A copy of all policies are available in the gym for your information.

We hope that your child will enjoy gymnastics and being a member of Fife Gymnastics Club.
